This app allows users to set up email as a second factor for web logins. It requires that an email address is set in 'Personal info'. It currently cannot be used on first login when two-factor authentication is enforced (not implemented yet).

Works well and gives an extra layer of security in case of password loss. I have seen some concerns about the security of the service itself, but despite that, it will give you an email if someone other than you tries to sign in and that might give you a heads up if something is wrong. The only bug I had was that my email service (IMAP) was not set up correctly and after a few tries I only discovered by looking at the logs, it should display a message with an error when you try to enable tfa, instead the button loads for a few seconds and goes back to "enable". Haven't had any issues with it so far.

Working fine for me on NC19.

Absolutely essential addition to 2FA for most users. This should be a featured app! It works fine, though it would be nicer with an option to request a first use (that a one-time use is if the user doesn't have a confirmed email address configured) 2FA token to be sent to the user's default email address. This would make the plugin an easy resolution to feature req/bug #17584.

For example, as "two factor admin" creates an entry in the settings/admin/security section to allow generation of a 2nd factor code to send (probably via email) for "first login after two-factor authentication has been enabled or when the users lose access to their other factors," an additional option that reads something like:

[] "Allow users to request a one-time code to be sent to their system email account if they have not yet verified an email address to receive authentication codes."

This App is great! Works as intended and its just doing its job.

For future features it would be nice when some things are configurable, like pre-enable and/or force-enable the 2FA via mail. And a possibility to customize the HTML-Template which App sends for 2FA would be nice too.

Thank you!
