PhoneTrack Nextcloud application

📱 PhoneTrack is a Nextcloud application to track and store mobile device's locations.

🗺 It receives information from mobile phone's logging apps and displays it dynamically on a map.

🌍 Help us to translate this app on PhoneTrack Crowdin project.

⚒ Check out other ways to help in the contribution guidelines.

How to use PhoneTrack :

  • Create a tracking session.
  • Give the logging link* to the mobile devices. Choose the logging method you prefer.
  • Watch the session's devices location in real time (or not) in PhoneTrack or share it with public pages.

(*) Don't forget to set the device name in the link (rather than in the logging app settings). Replace "yourname" with the desired device name. Setting the device name in logging app settings only works with Owntracks, Traccar and OpenGTS.

On PhoneTrack main page, while watching a session, you can :

  • 📍 Display location history
  • ⛛ Filter points
  • ✎ Manually edit/add/delete points
  • ✎ Edit devices (rename, change colour/shape, move to another session)
  • ⛶ Define geofencing zones for devices
  • ⚇ Define proximity alerts for device pairs
  • 🖧 Share a session to other Nextcloud users or with a public link (read-only)
  • 🔗 Generate public share links with optional restrictions (filters, device name, last positions only, geofencing simplification)
  • 🖫 Import/export a session in GPX format (one file with one track per device or one file per device)
  • 🗠 Display sessions statistics
  • 🔒 Reserve a device name to make sure only authorised user can log with this name
  • 🗓 Toggle session auto export and auto purge (daily/weekly/monthly)
  • ◔ Choose what to do when point number quota is reached (block logging or delete oldest point)

Public page and public filtered page work like main page except there is only one session displayed, everything is read-only and there is no need to be logged in.

This app is tested on Nextcloud 17 with Firefox 57+ and Chromium.

This app is compatible with theming colours and accessibility themes !

This app is under development.

Works well. The UI isn't very pretty, but it works well and has plenty of features. It's pretty easy to use, it even shows instructions for various mobile tracking apps. I had no experience with tracking apps before and got it working in about 3 minutes.

Perfekt app, supports many sources: OsmAnd, GpsLogger, Owntracks, Ulogger, Traccar, OpenGTS, Locus Map, a iné. Initial orientation in the app is tricky, but it's totally worth it. Just create relation and lick on little chain icon to copy URL to your favourite mobile app. Super easy.

Awesome app! I was using Google Map feature and I could see where I've been. But, after buying a Roku while watching the Roku I would receive ads from places I visited. I hated Google was watching where I was going. But..it was a cool feature to see where I hiked a year ago. Places I visited. But..when Google spying on me I turned it off. I found this app on my person NextCloud. I installed the phone app and it's AWESOME! Does what Google map does but even better. It was more data in each wave point. I have two GPS collars for my dogs when we go hiking. I can even import are hike and see where I've been and where the dogs were too. Love this app. Thank you developer!

A-Mazing!!! It took me a while to guess a better way to use this app than I did without learning how first, but not too hard. I'm grouping all my personal devices in one "Tracking Session" by reserving the names via the "Reserve device names" tool inside the session. I liked the GPSlogger app (first option I tried) on my mobile devices. Tried the easy Logging Details => Log to custom URL and at first didn't understand that just pasting the URL in the Tracking Session's tool "URLs for logging apps" into GPSlogger wasn't enough; I tried RTFM'ing and saw that I replace the code from Reserved device names in the URL where it said "yourname".

Now I'm doing more than I could with Google's Location History, Location Sharing and Find My Device (except maybe a dev-wipe).
