Not up to date with latest Nextcloud. I causes the admin to crash with a 500.

This app and OTP Manager are my two favorite apps of NextCloud. I use them constantly! And I love having my 2FA codes in a different app for an additional layer of security. Yet, with both of these apps it makes it very convenient to access my passwords, 2FA codes, and sharing them too! Thank you to the developer(s) for your time and energy of creating such a useful app! And...keeping it up-to-date with NextCloud!🙏

Firefox app does not integrate with firefox stored passwords functionnality.

Adding a new layer independant of what already exists is a very bad way of doing things. I unistalled it, I will try it again if you integrate correctly with firefox.

I have used "Passman" for the last two years and switched to Passwords to test it out.

MY GOD!

A difference of night and day! Let me point out some key features that made me so happy that I literally registered an account to write this review (and will send the dev a donation afterward):

  • Fantastic, clean, and organized UI!
  • Custom themes for the browser add-on (for those that like their dark mode everywhere)
  • Browser add-on for basically every browser you would want to use.
  • Great (and I mean GREAT) documentation and instructions.
  • Useful features like: check if the password is strong/used multiple times/leaked as well as icon/website preview download
  • Generally: It just WORKS! It does not feel wonky or self-made but seamless and fluid. Everything works hand in hand. The iOS app is fantastic and I found myself sitting on the sofa cleaning/organizing my passwords from the app (a task I dragged out for nearly 2 years with passman)
  • Integration with faceID (iPhone) and autofill(!). This is amazing: Like I said. The functions just make sense and are so well thought out.

TL;DR: If you look for a password manager I can HIGHLY recommend getting this app AND support the dev with a small tip! This feels like a professional product!

Many thanks to the dev and their great work!

I love this app. It's been getting better and better over time so it's the reverse version of Office Space "every time you see me it's the worst day of my life." Usually, when I ask for a feature request they tell me how it's already there! It's everything I needed to get off of Google Password storage and much, much more!

(older comment: Pretty cool thing. I'm goofing around with it now on Firefox and Google Chrome. Going to try that Android app soon too.)

Installed app in Nextcloud. Installed Extension in Chromium on laptop.

The important setup stuff in Nextcloud app was hidden in the inconspicuous "More" option in lower left of screen.

Cool syncing method wanted me to have a camera to look at itself for a QR-code, but just click the "link" alternative below and a nice alternative appears.

I easily exported a CSV from LastPass, and easily imported it (Nextcloud app had LastPass as a format option for csv import) into Passwords.

Overall, great install experience.

HOWEVER: I was trying to replace LastPass, which also fills in forms easly/nicely with a click or two, including various of my identities, credit cards, etc. This Passwords app seems to have no form filling beyond user/password, ie no credit cards, no names, no addresses, etc. Also I find the interface around adding a new password much less clear than what I'm used to (I don't yet know whether it's working).

Also, the interface for using a password in the mini window that pops up is confusing to me: the icons do not have any tooltips, so I do not know what they are intended to do.

Please keep expanding this app so that it's a full replacement for the competition. It's too confusing to have two password apps active at once, so I have already reverted.

This app feels stable. It has many useful functions. Therefore a sure thing that I have moved from firefox built-in password manager to this password app.

A firefox plugin exists already. Maybe Android comes next? Who knows :)

In general Nextcloud and its ecosystem developed nicely! Please keep up making this app better.

Application is secure, easy to use and has all the basic features needed. Mr. Marius, the developer of this app is responsive to issues, questions, enhancements, which adds additional point to making this app worth using.
