0.0.30 is not compatible with v28 despite what the table above says. https://github.com/ACTom/files_mindmap/pull/190 https://github.com/ACTom/files_mindmap/issues/191 https://help.nextcloud.com/t/nc28-mindmap-km-files-not-working/176809/11?u=ernolf

Fortunately Open Source Software never dies - but it looks like, we have to deal with abandonware here.

I use mindmapping very often to document and share information - so it is nice to have it within Nextcloud. And the base of this app - Kityminder is really nice. But we have quite a few issues:

stalled development - to onboard new developers, it doesn't help that much of the documentation is in Chinese
missing interoperability with popular mindmapping software such as Freeplane/Freemind (one can read files - make changes to it but not save it.
not really collaborative - such as Nextcloud office - there is always the risk to overwrite the changes of someone else.

That app needs helping hands.

Super app! Very intuitive to use. I've been using Deck to collaborate on projects. But this app is a great tool for asynchronous team brainstorming. The ability to add links, which take us back into our Nextcloud documents, etc, makes it integrate nicely into a workflow.

Beware: dependency of this integration (main app) died in year 2019.

Almost no development.

Almost the same number of solved/unresolved issues.

Releases rate slowed down recently.

I’ve been struggling for years to focus on tasks which I’m expected to work on as a software developer. I run into many small issues which i resolve, but end up losing focus on my initial task. This is the first mindmap app that I’ve tried and love how easy and trouble-free everything works. I’m able to put everything I think of into a mindmap. I don’t have any more need for ever growing todo-lists and txt files on my desktop. This app enables me to add priority, hierarchy, relations, notes and progress to tasks. The app is very intuitive.

I'd consider switching from FreeMind but I face the challenge to import all my maps. Any ideas, any hope for a converter?

This is a very necessary and convenient application !!! I really liked the functionality. The application is not all translated into English. I did not understand how to help with the translation, basically the repositories for translating only a few words can be edited. Please continue to port this application and develop it in nextcloud.

Very nice App, very useful. Export in Safari doesn't work, but in Chrome it works. Has big potential.

Thank you for your work!

I kind of like it. Fairly easy to guess how to use most features. Nice built-in formatting options.

I was disappointed that I can't have 2 main nodes on a single map. Some mind map programs allow the user to post all the concepts prior to any linking. I would have liked to do that with my first map.

I was disappointed that I can't make more than one link. For example, the child of one node is also the child of another node. I had to create an identical child node to represent it, but that's not appropriate because it represents twin children instead of a single child with two parents.

I was disappointed that a sibling node looked identical to a child node in the graphical representation. Seems like it should have had a different connector and been the same formatting as the initial node that it was a sibling from.

It would be cool if the links were adjustable in a way that they could show arrows, or represent a bi-directional flow, or dashed vs solid lines.

Anyway, thanks for making this. It's a cool app.

This first version already works great! It has a few areas where eg text or items overlap or don't fit and such but it is easy to create a mindmap and update it. Nice work!
