Collectives is a Nextcloud App for activist and community projects to organize together. Come and gather in collectives to build shared knowledge.

  • 👥 Collective and non-hierarchical workflow by heart: Collectives are tied to a Nextcloud Team and owned by the collective.
  • 📝 Collaborative page editing like known from Etherpad thanks to the Text app.
  • 🔤 Well-known Markdown syntax for page formatting.

Installation

In your Nextcloud instance, simply navigate to »Apps«, find the »Teams« and »Collectives« apps and enable them.

This is in my top 5 favorite apps in NextCloud. I use it in our family NextCloud instance, and we love it to organize events, projects, homework, etc. Thank you to the developer for your time in creating this app!

Fantastic app, easily replaces Notion and Basecamp for me. Easy to format with Markdown, making the entire thing a portable set of files. Would be great if I could disable link previews as they seem a bit iffy sometimes, and there's no way to give a link a title when pasting. Oddly, [link title](https://example.com) Markdown doesn't work!

I really want to like this app more. Too bad markdown is not as widely used or as extensive as other formats since otherwise I would really like for this to be one of my main writing tools.

For nonprofessional use, this is a great collaborative app. Let's give credit where credit is due. Also great for informal Wiki content within the NC environment. Outside of it however, I find other applications like BookStack to be more pleasing to the eye for the end user.

There is a new Pandoc App for NC that was recently released so will give that a spin. Since if it can change *.md files to *.doc or *.docx or other formats without getting utterly destroyed in layout then this will make Collectives even more of a winner. Also, the more format it can export to, the better. Albeit again, perhaps leverage Pandoc, instead.

Already very good. Versatile in use. However, tables are currently not supported in Markdown (function of the text app), which would completethe function of the app.

The bug mentioned by Aproposnix has been fixed a month ago with the latest release (0.2.2).

disclaimer: I'm working on the app and fixed the bug.
